At present, the main performance and parameter of belt conveyor cannot meet the demands of market, especially compared with foreign production, the key components and functions of domestic belt conveyor have a big gap.

The key technologies of long-distance and big-power belt conveyor are dynamic design and monitor which the key technology is to restrict the development of belt conveyor. At present, we use rigidity theory to analysis and research belt conveyor and formulate computing method and design standard.

In order to meet the demands of high yield, high efficiency and intensive production, we must enhance the delivery capacity of belt conveyor. Long-distance, high-speed, big-delivery capacity and high-power is the inevitable tendency of future development. The delivery capacity of belt conveyor reaches 3000-4000t/h, the speed reaches 4-6m/s, the delivery length reaches 3000m. Single driving power reaches 6000N/mm. We should continuously improve design level of belt conveyor to fill the domestic blank, close to and catch up with the technology level of international advanced industrial countries.

The rate of running machine of belt conveyor mainly depends on the performance and reliability of components. Except further perfecting the performance of existing components, we should continuously research new technology and components to further improve the performance of belt conveyor.
