The main raw materials for the production of silicate cement is limestone material and argillaceous material. In additional, according to fuel quality and varieties of cement, add other materials to supplement the shortage of the ingredients, and also using industrial waste residue as raw materials or mixed materials of cement production.
1. Limestone material
Calcareous raw materials refers to calcium carbonate as the main component of limestone, marl, chalk and shells, etc. Limestone is the main raw material for cement production, every tons of clinker production takes about 1.3 tons of limestone, more than 80% in raw material is limestone.
2. Argillaceous material
The natural argillaceous raw material are loess, clay, shale, sandstone, mud, etc. Among them, loess and clay are widely used. In additional, fly ash, coal gangue and other industrial waste residue also can be raw material. Clay is the finely dispersed sedimentary rock, which made of different mineral, such as: Kaolin, smectite, mica and other water hydrated aluminum silicate.
3. Supplementary material
If the composition of raw meal derived from combination of calcareous raw materials and clay raw materials, should add relevant supplementary materials according to the shortage of ingredients.
Reasonable selection of grinding equipment and technological processes, optimizing the process parameters, and proper operation are of great significance to ensure product quality and reduce energy consumption.
