Ore will be grinded in grinding machine. Cylindrical grinding machine as shown below:

The cylinder contains a variety of diameter of crushing media (steel ball, steel bar and gravel). When cylinder rotate around the horizontal axis according to the specified convolution, the crushing media and rock put in the cylinder will rise a certain height with the supporting wall and then out of free fall or roll off the cylinder wall under the functions of centrifugal force and frictional force. The ore grinding is mainly dependent on the impact force came from the falling of the crushing media and the abrasive action from movement.

Ore will be continually sent from the one end of the hollow journal;The products after grinding will be expel from the other hollow axis of cylinder. When wet grinding, ore is flow away. When dry grinding, ore will be taken away by air flow.

The row of ore method is divided into two kinds: center row ore and grid row ore. Center row ore refers to the crushed products freely overflow from the end of hollow journal. Therefore, the level of the cylinder inverse pulp must be higher than the level of the lowest row of the ore journal. The grinding machine of center row ore is also be called overflow ball mill. Grid row ore refers to the crushed products will be expelled from the hole around the edge of the grid, which is installed in the end of the cylinder. The grinding machine of grid row ore is also referred to as grid ball mill. Except for the above two kinds of method of row ore, another one is surrounding row ore. It is rarely used now because the method of ore discharge is through the surrounding the cylinder.
