The feeding of cone crusher affects its working efficiency. The correct feeding is an important step in the efficient production of equipment. So, we summarize some feeding requirements and precautions of cone crusher.

Feeding Requirements

1. The materials that being sent into equipment should meet the feeding requirement of cone crusher. The materials with large size and big hardness must not be sent into crushing chamber. At the same time, the amount of materials put into the equipment should not be too much or too less. The standard is the materials can evenly fill the crushing cavity. In addition, the feedstock can not exceed the level of rolling wall.

2. In the working process of cone crusher, the ores must be in the middle of the tray, and it is not allowed to directly feed ores into the crushing chamber, because it will make the crusher overload and cause uneven wear of the liner. Feeding box is helpful to fully mix materials, and makes them evenly distributed in the crushing chamber. What’s more, try to keep the segregation of fine and coarse materials at a certain degree as possible as soon, which can decrease the wear of liner.

3. When installing cone crusher and other components, users should check basic drawing and the size of crusher space, and then prepare a thoughtful plan to install the feeding equipment in advance, which can ensure that the device is convenient to be disassembled when checking and maintaining crusher.

Feeding Precautions

1. Before material is being sent into crushing chamber, operator should first pre-screening it to sieve out fine and sticky materials in feedstock, which can avoid material blogging caused by the entering of materials with more water, and reduction of production efficiency. In addition, a metal detector should also be installed, in order to detect impurities such as metal objects enter into the crushing chamber. Otherwise, the inner components will be damaged seriously, even cause the forced parking of the device.

2. When feeding, users should pay attention to control the feeding speed. The material that falls from a very high distance can almost all pass. It will fall directly into the bottom of the crushing chamber without being broken. This will lead to the irregular beat of adjusting ring, resulting in serious damage to the contact surface of the main frame and adjustment ring. So, we should control the feeding speed. If necessary, trapezoidal blanking, dead ends, or similar deceleration devices can be used.

3. When stopping the machine, the feeding machine must be firstly stopped. Cone crusher can be stopped, after the ores in crushing cavity of cone crusher are discharged completely,
