Good maintenance is important for using ball mill, which plays an important role in prolong the service life of ball mill. A ball mill without good maintenance can’t work for long time, while normal maintenance can improve efficiency and quality and other aspects of ball mill. Then how to properly maintain a ball mill?

Firstly, pay attention to lubrication, the oil of new ball mill after running a month should be changed, because the new equipment after running a certain amount of time will generate a lot of iron, if not clean them out, the abrasion of the machine will be increased. Here then, the oil should be changed each half year, which can reduce the abrasion of machine, and improve the performance of ball mill.

In addition, check oil temperature each four hours when operate ball mill. When ball mill machine is in running, its temperature will go up accordingly because friction, but it does not over 60 degrees. It’s abnormal if the temperature is exceeded 60 degrees. Therefore, the operator should adopt appropriate measures.

Abnormal sound, current instability and so on also belongs to the abnormal phenomenon which should be strictly noted when ball mill is in operation. In the event of unusual phenomena, users should stop the machine for internal checks.
