Energy Consumption in Ore Dressing Plant and Optimization Measures

Saving energy, reducing consumption and production cost are always important problems that the ore dressing plant will consider. This paper will introduce several measures that will effectively solve the problem that the energy consumption is higher in the ore beneficiation plants.

1) Improve the load rate and improve the production capacity of the equipment through technical reform

Adopt such craft as replacing grinding with crushing and more crushing and less grinding to improve the production capacity of the ore dressing plant and reach the goal of reducing the unit energy consumption and production cost. In addition, remodel the pre-screening and examination screening screen net and reasonably distribute the load rate of all crushers through reforming the crushing system.

2) Adopt advanced equipment to reduce energy consumption

Combine the application of new equipment and the upgrading and reform of existing equipment to gain better energy saving results. The ore dressing plant will have the features of high working efficiency and less electricity consumption with the use of transducer to regulate the running speed.

4) Increase the power factor of the power grid

Adopt reactive compensation to increase the power factor and save electricity energy and reduce the running fees, while improving the electricity energy quality, brings lucrative economic benefits to the customers. During the production process, reasonably selection the electricity motor, improve the examination and repair quality of the single-step quality, reasonably selection the variable distribution capacity and improve the running method of variable distribution. As for the distribution transform with relatively low load rate, generally adopt the methods of “removing, changing and stopping” to increase the load rate to the optimum value, thus increasing the natural power factor of the power grid.
